Meet Dr. Perray Saravanane
A Personalized Approach to Care
Dr. Perray Saravanane is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment for his patients. He believes that dentistry is not just about treating teeth—it’s about understanding people. Trained at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry, he brings expertise in restorative care, endodontics, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He is especially comfortable working with anxious patients and always taking the time to connect and personalize his care with empathy and compassion.
A Story That Started in Richmond
With roots in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Saravanane developed an early appreciation for science and service while attending the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School. He went on to earn dual degrees in Biology and Bioinformatics from Virginia Commonwealth University, laying a strong academic foundation for his career in healthcare. Before entering dental school, he built on that foundation through research roles in COVID-19 vaccine development at PPD and kidney transplant studies at the VCU Hume-Lee Transplant Center. His background in science has shaped his evidence-based approach to dentistry and his attention to detail. During dental school at NYU Dentistry, he served on the Class Council and was active in student organizations, always seeking ways to lead and support others.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Saravanane enjoys staying active by playing pickleball and tennis, and he often experiments with recipes inspired by his South Asian heritage. A lifelong sports fan, he proudly supports the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Lakers, and FC Barcelona. He values time with his family, friends, and community, and he brings that same sense of connection and warmth to his patient care. Whether he’s helping someone manage dental anxiety or simply making them feel at ease, Dr. Perray is dedicated to creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient.
